Image Attachments and MediDraw

MediTouch’s unique MediDraw feature makes it easy to document physical exam findings. Simply snap a picture of your patient’s finding with your smartphone or iPad and send it directly to the patient chart – then draw directly on it using your fingertip or mouse.

  • Open a patient encounter and navigate to the O: Physical Exam page.
  • Click the image attachment icon to open the attachment utility.

  • Click the Library option to attach an image from the MediTouch library.
  • Library images may be displayed for you depending on the body system that you are currently working in.
  • To manually search the Library, use the input field to search by keyword, e.g. head.

  • To attach an image that has previously been uploaded to the patient chart, click Patient Images

  • To upload a new image click the Upload Patient Image option.
  • For PC and Mac users, click Browse to upload a file from your computer.
  • For iPad and iPhone users, click Browse to take a new photo or upload from your existing Photos.

  • To attach the image to the encounter, click the image to highlight it and click Attach Images.

  • The image attachments will be displayed at the bottom of the Physical Exam.
  • Click the image to open the MediDraw feature.

  • Select your drawing color from the palette.
  • Select your drawing line width.
  • Draw on the image, make comments (optional) and click Save to update the attachment.

Note: the drawing that is applied to the attachment only applies to the current encounter. The patient image is not permanently altered by the drawing.
